The Monday Night Classic Chiefs Vs Bucs (OVERTIME WIN)
In the highly anticipated game we’ve been waiting for, the Chiefs survived the Bucs in a Monday Night Football shootout 30-24. Mahomes and Baker were both strutting their stuff last night on offense.
Tocque de Mahomes et force de Mayfield
Mahomes was still Mahomes throwing for 291 yards and 3 TDs despite playing with an ankle injury. He and Travis Kelce were in sync as Kelce caught 14 for 100 yards. New Chief DeAndre Hopkins made sure to announce his arrival by streaking across the field for 8 catches, 86 yards, and 2 touchdowns ahead of the game.
Baker Mayfield on the other hand replacing Tom Brady with a injury played well. He passed for 200 yards and 2 touchdowns, including a game-tying touchdown pass to Ryan Miller late in the game that sent it to overtime.
A Defensive Struggle Chiefs Vs Bucs
Not surprisingly, the defenses did little more to hinder the offenses. The weekend featured a lot of missed tackles and no pressure on the quarterbacks from either team.
The Controversial Call and Overtime Thriller
At the end of regulation was one of the biggest plays in the game. Bucs coach Todd Bowles opted to kick an extra point after the touchdown pass by Mayfield, which would have sent the game to overtime. Others felt he should’ve gone for 2 and for the game.
Kareem Hunt scored the game winning touchdown for the Chiefs on their possession in overtime. Starting to win more games than they lose again, the Chiefs are now one victory away from their 14th consecutive win and remain an elite team in the NFL.
A Classic
It was a bit of a fun one with the Chiefs and Bucs. Both teams end this and make an effort at the playoffs. This is going to be a memorable game.
