Things got heated in the second half. The Cavaliers hunkered down on defense and kept the Magic scoring at bay. Meanwhile, Evan Mobley proved to be a rim protector, swatting shots and changing others and Jarrett Allen crashed the boards.

Things boiled over in the final moments, The dramatic final play featured both teams doing precisely what they wanted to do. The Cavaliers took advantage of the experience, the Magic executed the determination and pattern of pulling off a comeback.

It summed up what the game means, or certainly did for both teams. I don’t think anyone would argue there will be even more great games and rivalries to come as the NBA season unfolds, but the Magic and Cavaliers are already at the top of the watch list for must-see NBA teams.
